Interwarehouse Freight Cost Table - SET 8

Associated Files

The Interwarehouse Freight Cost Table allows you to determine how much it costs to move items between warehouses (such costs will be added into the cost of the item and determine GP). Costs are listed by item class, but are determined by weight, cube or unit.

This program enables the system to calculate your cost for interwarehouse transfers on an order-by-order basis.

The Interwarehouse Freight Cost Table, allows you to enter freight factors by weight, cubes, or by units. Units always refer to the native unit of measure for each item assigned to this table. Separate entries can be made for every combination of warehouses. In the example above, transfers going from RAL to ANA have a transfer/freight cost of $0.225 per pound, $0.87 per cube, or $0.6278 per unit, depending on the freight key code within the Item Master File.
